Privacy Policy for Calorplast USA
Effective Date: June 11, 2025
1. Introduction
We respect your privacy at Calorplast USA. This explains what data we collect when you visit our site or contact us, how we use it, and your choices. Questions? Contact us (details in section 12).
2. Information We Collect Automatically
When you browse our site, we log technical details to keep things secure and running smoothly:
IP address; date and time of access; pages viewed (URL paths); HTTP status codes; data transfer amounts
Referring site (if you clicked a link here)
Browser type/version; operating system; language; time zone offset
We retain these logs for up to 7 days for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and uptime monitoring, then delete or anonymize them.
3. Cookies and Similar Tech
Essential cookies: Always active. Needed for basic navigation, security, and storing your consent choices.
Optional cookies (analytics, preferences, marketing): Only set if you consent via our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw consent there or via your browser settings—some site features may be affected if cookies are blocked.
Our consent tool stores your choices so you won’t be prompted repeatedly.
4. Web Hosting & Security
Our site is hosted in the US. SSL/TLS (“https://” with lock icon) protects data in transit. We regularly update security measures. If you spot anything odd, let us know.
5. Contact Forms & Email Inquiries
If you submit a contact or inquiry form (name, email, company, message), we use that data solely to respond or provide quotes. We keep it as long as needed to handle your request, then delete it unless retention is required by law (e.g., record-keeping). Emails sent directly are handled similarly.
6. Analytics & Third-Party Tools
We may use Google Analytics (IP anonymization enabled) or similar tools to understand usage and improve the site. Analytics only runs if you consent via our cookie banner.
A tag manager (e.g., Google Tag Manager) may deploy approved scripts but doesn’t itself create profiles. If you opt out (e.g., via browser add-on), these scripts won’t collect beyond essentials.
7. Newsletter & Marketing Communications
If you subscribe, we collect your email (and optional name) via double opt-in: you confirm your address before we send anything. We record date/time and IP for verification.
We use a US-compliant email service (e.g., Constant Contact or similar) to send newsletters, track opens/clicks, and manage unsubscribes.
You can unsubscribe at any time via a link in each email or by contacting us; we’ll remove you from the list promptly. We don’t share your address with unrelated parties except as legally required.
8. US State Privacy Rights
California residents: Under CCPA, you can request what personal info we collect, how we use it, request deletion (subject to exceptions), and opt out of “sale” of personal info. We do not sell personal info as defined by CCPA; if that changes, we’ll update this policy and provide notices.
Other states: We aim to honor reasonable requests for access, correction, deletion, or portability per applicable laws. To exercise rights, contact us (section 12).
9. Data Security & Retention
We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Retention is purpose-based: logs (up to 7 days), inquiry data (until request resolved plus any legal retention), marketing data (until unsubscribe or deletion request). If you request deletion and no legal obligation prevents it, we’ll remove your data from active systems.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our site is for adults and business users. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think we have such data, contact us; we’ll delete it promptly.
11. Links to Other Sites
We may link to third-party sites (e.g., manufacturer info, social media). We’re not responsible for their privacy practices—review their policies before sharing personal data.
12. Your Choices & Rights
Access/Update: Ask what personal data we hold about you; request corrections.
Deletion: Request deletion (subject to legal requirements).
Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing anytime; manage cookie preferences via our banner or browser.
Restrict Processing: If you believe we process data incorrectly, ask us to limit processing while we investigate.
Portability: For data you provided directly, request a copy in a common machine-readable format.

13. Data Breaches
If there’s a security incident affecting personal data, we’ll notify affected individuals and authorities per legal requirements.

We may revise this policy due to new services, legal updates, or changes in practices. We’ll update the “Effective Date” and post the revised policy on our site. For major changes, we may highlight them on the homepage or via email.
